17 Nov '78
Chart Position: #1 BILLBOARD ALBUM
The album 'Blondes Have More Fun' sold 4 million albums, with 'Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?' reaching #1 in the US and UK. It also hit #5 on the Billboard black charts due to its disco sound. A lawsuit is begun because the refrain is similar to Jorge Ben’s ‘Taj Maha’. Rod donates his royalties to UNICEF, and performs it at the UNICEF Concert at the UN General ASSEMBLY in 1979.

The Studio Albums 1975-2001 is a collection of 14 of Rod Stuart's albums released under Warner Bros. Records.

After the success of 1991's Vagabond Heart, Rod entered the studio in the Summer of 1992 to record the proposed follow-up, Once in a Blue Moon. All of the songs set for the album were eventually released (in some version) on US or UK albums, but the original, conceptualised Once in a Blue Moon never saw the light of day until 2010. Reminiscent of the year when it was originally slated for release, the CD comes packaged in a vintage long box.
